Say hello to the new Spider-Man.

Logan Lerman. Also known as Percy Jackson. Dream boat or no?

  1. So is this confirmed? Or is this what you would like to see? Or do you just want to hit that (you sick bastard)?

  2. It's a rumor and is being reported by the same site that said that Jackie Earle Haley was going to be Sinestro. Although this time there's at least some corroborating information that he is one of the kids in consideration.

  3. 1. Devin, good post. much better the second time.

    2. Honestly, I'm sort of fine with this pick. If this means that a 13 year old girl will be that more interested in a Spider-Man comic book then I'm for it. A Spider-Man film will already have us guys cheacking it out to see if it stinks or not. To get a broader "Harry Potter" or "High School Musical" crowd to check out comic books, good.
Will this happen? Uh. maybe not.
We do need younger comic readers. None of us are getting younger or better looking.

  4. Not to be cynical, but I don't think any young girls started reading the Percy Jackson books as a result of seeing LL in the movie.

  5. I heard that this was just a rumor. But how awesome would it had been if someone beat the crap out of Pierce Brosnan centaur character and then disembowel him in Percy Jackson.

......P.S. God of War 3 is cool.

  6. Brad, I don't think you are being cynical. Just realistic. I'm saying good looks will not hurt, along with people being familiar with a brand...I mean absolutely the book sales of Percy Jackson sky rocketed because of the movie. It became a better known brand. To reach a younger base, this is a better pick then Tom Hanks...ha ha ha...his hair is thinning....so is mine.....crap.ugh.

  7. Uh, I don't think the point of movies is to make people read the books. I think the point of movies, or at least this movie, is to be entertaining, exciting, engaging, etc. and other words that begin with e. I don't give a "fart" if anyone reads Spider-Man after they see this movie. I just want it to be awesome.

The Maroon 5 video director? Percy Jackson? Sounds awful so far. And seeing as how I'm probably one of two people in these comments who has actually seen The Lightning Thief and (500) Days of Summer, I feel as though I'm allowed to say that.
