The Captain America trailer is here!

I can't claim to know much about Captain America, but I think this looks pretty cool. Thoughts?

  1. Scrawny Chris Evans looks creepy... is that a CGI body at the recruitment office?

  2. That is a CGI body, and yes it is creepy. I was thinking the same thing as I was watching it.

Aside from that, I am excited for this movie, but it is the Marvel movie coming out this summer that I am least excited for still.

    X-Men
    Thor
    Cap

    In that order

  3. I thought so. Other than that, it looks like it could be enjoyable. And in terms of excitement level for the Marvel movies, I think I would actually reverse your list. This looks the most promising, and by that I mean at all promising.

  4. I'm going to have to say I agree with Chris' list (although I'm excited for all three). I just think First Class has the best cast of the three, hands down, plus Bryan Singer's involvement is promising and Matthew Vaughn directing really sells the whole picture for me.

That being said, I think it's cool that all three, from what we've seen, have a sort of classic vibe (First Class and Cap both being period movies and Thor being, well, mythic) that indicates they aren't shying away from their comic heritage. Also Kenneth Branagh is awesome, so the fact that he directed Thor is pretty awesome too.

  5. But... Thor?! With Kennith Brannah directing, I'm sure there will be a lot of that 'oldee timey Shakespearey Englishy' speak. Or not.

The CM for the Thor hammer is pretty badass though... *cough*

Capt FTW. "First Class" looks cool, though, and Mathew Vaughn is a "kick-ass" director, but I might be more excited for Cap. It's the most non-traditional of all marvel films, and I'm really interested in seeing something different than usual.
