When did 'they' start putting expiration dates on eggs?

  1. It comes out of the chicken like that. They started breeding chickens to produce alphanumeric symbols in the late 70's, but it took two decades to teach them how to use English words.

    Actually, patents were filed over 10 years ago for the inkjet printing on your egg:
