I was a little surprised how fun it was.
A couple of things not mentioned in Chris' post was the fact that 'Gun Monkeys' was Gischler's first book, and was nominated for a Edgar Award. Which is like the Oscar for Detective novels. Kind of a big deal.
You finally read it! Awesome! Im glad you enjoyed it. I bet you couldnt put it down!
